Chaos Dwarves

I've just started making some chaos dwarves from the contents of my bits box. There was a dwarf army from the battle for skull pass among the badly painted models that I did a few years ago when I was just getting back into the hobby. I got my inspiration from the guys at Chaos Dwarfs Online where there is a fantastic collection of articles on creating a chaos dwarf army.
I'll have some colour pictures of them soon when they have been painted but my can of black undercoat has gone all gloopy so I need to pop down to my FLGS Heroes and Legends Games for some more.

Paper Iron Demon. Second Draught

I'm much happier with this second draught of the paper Iron Demon. I think it still needs a bit more spikiness and pipes, but I should have it finished later today.

Paper Iron Demon. First draught

My friend was kind enough to lend me a copy of Throne of Tamurkahn last week and I was very keen to see that Chaos Dwarves can be allied to Warriors of Chaos. I was also impressed with the Iron Demon but my gaming budget will not stretch to the forgeworld kit.
I thought I would look around for a papercraft model I could alter to fit the bill. I couldn't find a single steamroller.
So I looked at some pictures, got the basic shape down and made my own.




There are several alterations to be made. the funnels are going to be changed. I'm going to add decoration to the wheels and cannons and it will be getting some spiky bits to make it look a bit more chaotic.

I will post patterns here when I've got a bit further with them.

Heroquest Fimir

I've just seen the splendid new Forgeworld Fimir Warriors but not having £28 spare for shiny new models and 2 sets of Heroquest on top of the book case. The Fimir got a re basing and painted up last night. I had to do some repositioning of the arms to break up what would have looked a very static unit.
I'll post some finished photos when I get a chance to finish off the bases.

My friend Matt asked me to paint his unit of Night Goblins as Gnoblars for him, There are 120 of them so he gave me this model as payment along with some Chaotic Imperial Guard.
It is made by Miss Painting Group. I can't find any active website for them but they make models for the unsculpted special characters in the Warriors of Chaos book. I also have their Kholek Model.
